Of all New Zealand’s most celebrated chefs and cookbook writers it would be hard to think of one who’s a better fit with our philosophy at Garden Marlborough than the innovative, adventurous, green-fingered, newly awarded Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit, Annabel Langbein. With her fresh and simple approach to garden, family, community and food, Annabel understands what’s important in life. As she puts it: “In the hurry of everyday life, cooking is one thing that brings us back to today. Living is about now.” To demonstrate her credo, Annabel has put together a one-off presentation specially crafted for Garden Marlborough. This is an opportunity to get to know more about Annabel and her growing and cooking philosophy over the course of a unique Marlborough evening.
Enjoy a glass of bubbles before taking your seats for Annabel’s entertaining presentation. Listen to her talk about what’s most important to her in the garden, the kitchen and in life as by way of introduction she chats with enthusiastic and outgoing local food identity Marcel Rood. Following their exchange, Annabel will prepare food made with Marlborough produce that has been gathered that day from local gardeners and suppliers. You can watch as she effortlessly puts together some simple yet creative dishes which you can easily replicate at home. There will also be the opportunity to ask questions throughout the demonstration.
This will be a special one-off event, a chance to meet Annabel on a uniquely Garden Marlborough-styled evening, and it is sure to be very popular. Get in early to secure your ticket!
