For many, the annual Garden Party is the absolute highlight of Rapaura Springs Garden Marlborough. This year we’re celebrating Bloom in the Boom at the grand and opulent Longfield at Fairhall. Make sure you join us and help take the Garden Party to an explosive new level!

The garden party is an opportunity to see one of our treasured private gardens transformed from a day-time oasis into a night-time wonder. Lynne and Rob Hammond’s garden at Longfield takes much of its inspiration from Italy, with statues, fountains, formal garden rooms and classical columns within a circular hedge, and is reminiscent of Hadrian’s Villa at Tivoli. Citrus, olives and lavender feature, and a beautiful orangery opens to a bricked courtyard. We’re very lucky to be able to hold this year’s party at such a perfect location, a garden we promise will amaze and inspire you.

For garden lovers, people lovers and party lovers this is the chance to change out of your gumboots and walking shoes into something glamorous, and to meet some of our international and New Zealand speakers, garden owners, and new and old Garden Marlborough friends as you enjoy Rapaura Springs wines with lovingly and locally sourced canapés – showcasing more of what our wonderful region produces.

And did we mention putting the boom back into Boomtown?!? Instead of our usual art auction, this year we are raising money for charity by doing something a little more incendiary … the chance to launch your very own booming bloom.
