Mushrooms of New Zealand and Farming mushrooms at home

Adam’s passion for mushrooms started in Italy, when his future father-in-law took him on a foraging mission in the Majella mountains of Abruzzo. Since then, Adam has dedicated himself to studying, identifying, farming and hunting the mushrooms of New Zealand. That passion led him to start his own business, and to become a respected expert in mushroom forums and an active participant in the national mushroom scene.

Mushrooms of New Zealand

Adam will give a comprehensive talk, as well as an in-depth, hands-on practical workshop. Mushrooms of New Zealand will be a conversation about fungi found in your garden, about their medicinal properties, the latest research and technological applications, and cover edibility and why we love mushrooms so much. Join us, sit back, relax, and learn something new about the mushrooms of Aotearoa.

Farming mushrooms at home

Farming mushrooms at home is an intensive practical workshop, showing you how to make your own mini mushroom farm and how to incorporate fungi in your garden. Adam will share the story of his mushroom-farming experiences and give you lots of practical ideas on how to grow them yourself. You’ll leave with your own amazing mushroom project to take home. Class strictly limited to 25 spaces.
